“To play without passion is inexcusable!”

She started taking private piano lessons at the age of 6 using the Suzuki Method, eventually moving on to a more traditional method of study. Cori has had the privilege to study under the private tutoring of 4 different teachers during her career, her latest teacher being Anne Scoggin at Music Academy South in Wake Forest, NC. In the past, she has been an accompanist for church services. Cori has been teaching private piano lessons since the age of 18. She loves to make music interactive and engaging for children, and uses a wide variety of songs to best reach each and every student. She currently teaches using the Faber curriculum (see the resources page for more information.) Cori's favorite composer to play on the piano is Beethoven. Some of her favorite genres to listen to include Classical, Country/Folk, and Swing Jazz. Cori is passionate about continuing her education through, books, magazines, conferences, webinars, and music blogs, and she hopes to be able to further her music education through teaching lessons.
