Studio Policy

Missed Lessons

  • If a student becomes sick or is otherwise unable to attend their lesson, please contact me as soon as possible. If I become sick or am otherwise unable to attend due to an emergency, I will contact you as soon as possible.

  • In the event that a student is not able to attend the set day and time for their piano lesson, no additional lesson time will be offered. To make sure you are receiving the maximum benefit for your money, please set aside and guard the scheduled lesson time. If your child is unable to attend their lesson for any reason, you are welcome to call during their scheduled lesson time with any questions or thoughts you might have on your child and their lesson progress. I’d love to talk with you!

  • As a parent, you have the freedom to cancel a week of lessons whenever you would like. However, please note there are no refunds for missed lessons and your monthly payment will remain the same.

  • Monthly payment is required to reserve a student’s time slot for lessons. If a student needs to take a break for more than 5 weeks and payment is not continued during that time, the student will be required to register again and pick a new day and time if his previous time slot was filled by a new student. To keep the same day and time you are required to continue monthly payment.

Student Commitment

  • Students are required to complete assignments each week. Since every student has different goals, the given assignments and the time commitment required will be different for every student. However, it is important to note that regular and consistent practice is imperative to success. Beginners should expect to spend 10-15 minutes at least 4 days a week. This time will gradually increase as the student learns longer songs. If students continually refuse to complete assignments, or are no longer able to practice through the week, I will suspend lessons.

Quitting Lessons

  • If you desire your child to either quit or to take an extended break from lessons, please send me an email. No further payments will be required if I am notified by the 10th of the month. However, if you decide to quit lessons after the 10th, next month’s payment may possibly be required.

Additional Notes

If scheduling conflicts were to come up with your child in the future so that they were no longer able to keep the set day and time, please know I will work my absolute hardest to be flexible and to find a new day and time for you and your child. While this is not always possible on my part due to the other lessons I teach, I do want to be considerate of changing times and schedules, and I will do my best to find you a new regular time that works for you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my policies! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
